CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2008) - Pure Energy Services Ltd. ("Pure Energy") (TSX:PSV) is pleased to announce the following changes to its executive team effective September 1, 2008:

- Michael Baldwin, Pure Energy's Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed Executive Vice-President.

- Brian Peters has been appointed as Pure Energy's Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Peters was most recently Chief Financial Officer for Technicoil Corporation and brings many years of oilfield related experience to Pure Energy. Mr. Peters is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.

During his tenure as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Baldwin has been instrumental in creating and implementing the discipline and maturity to Pure Energy's financial and reporting structure and systems necessary for a public company. In his new role, Mr. Baldwin will take an active role in Pure Energy's operations in both Canada and the United States, working alongside Rutger Niers and Paul DeBonis.
