BURLINGTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2008) - Silver Shield Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SSR) ("Silver Shield" or "the Company") today announced that Harvey McKenzie has resigned from the position of Chief Financial Officer to concentrate on his many other business ventures, effective immediately.

The Company is currently actively interviewing qualified candidates for the position. Tim D. Towers, President and CEO, will be assuming the CFO's responsibilities on an interim basis until the position has been filled. Mr. Towers holds an honours commerce degree from the University of Windsor and an honours macro economics degree from the University of Western Ontario, and has been a professional accountant for over 30 years. As such, he is qualified to manage the duties of Chief Financial Officer for the Company.
