Viterra Lends Support to Iowa Flood Cleanup Efforts

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - July 28, 2008) - Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT), together with its wholly-owned subsidiary Can-Oat Milling, today announced their contribution of $30,000 towards flood cleanup efforts in Iowa, where both Companies have a number of key business partnerships. The funds will be allocated to recovery initiatives in the city of Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas.

"Rebuilding takes time and support continues to be needed as residents and businesses struggle with the aftermath of this devastating flood. Our Company's donation will go to aid the families and communities affected," said Mayo Schmidt, President and CEO of Viterra.

The record flooding that hit the area one month ago caused extensive damage to residential neighborhoods and businesses and plants in Cedar Rapids and its surrounding districts.
