REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - July 7, 2008) - Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT), Canada's leading agribusiness, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Yu as Vice-President and Managing Director, Asia.
Mr. Yu comes to Viterra with an extensive background in the market development of grain and oilseeds. Since 1993 he has worked for Archer Daniels Midland, most recently serving as Corporate Vice-President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific. In that role, he was responsible for establishing and managing commercial activity in the Asian Region, which included 25 operations in China.

Reporting to Don Chapman, Senior Vice-President, International Grain, Mr. Yu will be working in concert with Viterra's Grain Group team to develop and implement the company's international growth platform in the Asian Region.
Mr. Yu's appointment to Viterra is effective immediately. He will be based in Singapore.
